Went for weekday lunch thali. We got tandoori platter thali and Bombay fish curry. Both were great. Thali also included a bowl of dal makhani, saag (not palak), yogurt, small serving of Rasmalai, papad, 1 samosa and kaddu curry ( pumpkin/ squash curry) and a serving of rice. Fresh hot Nan was served for the table. Everything tasted good and homestyle North Indian. Would come back to try the other Thalis.

Nice restaurant with great service. Food came out quickly and tasted delicious. Easy to book a reservation online. Would definitely come back to try more items.

Ordered the palak paneer and butter chicken with a side of garlic naan. The curries were less flavorful than expected, but the portion sizes were great. We loved the sweet lassi and the mango lassi. Definitely would love to try the salted lassi next time. The restaurant was clean, and the service was attentive.

This is my go-to takeout/delivery spot for Indian. The palak paneer and chicken tikka are always dependable and my usual go to. Will continue to order from here, and perhaps someday do a dine-in as well.

Got into NY without any dinner plans and looked for a place close to my hotel. Pippali had good reviews so thought we'd check it out. Reservations was easy to make on Open Table. The food, staff, and ambiance was great! All the dishes were flavorful, only one we probably could've done without was the Chandni Chowk Dahi Bhalla Chaat.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile, so I finally went with a friend for dinner. The interior was simple, but nice, complete with white table cloths. There was a calm, peaceful ambiance. Of course I ordered the Mango Lassi, which was refreshing, sweet, and creamy. In terms of food, my friend and I shared the Mixed Grill ($35), Shrimp served with Coconut Rice ($33), as well as Garlic Naan ($6). The Mixed Grill consisted of Lamb Chops, Salmon, Ground Lamb, Tandoori Chicken, and Chicken Chop. All of the meat was perfectly charred, slightly crispy, delightfully tender, and wonderfully well seasoned with bold spices. The Garlic Naan was buttery with plenty of pieces of garlic, making it have a strong taste of it. I wasn't a huge fan of the Jhinga, which were shrimps in mustard seeds, curry leafs and coconut milk, but the accompanying coconut rice was aromatic and cooked well. Service was good. Prices were mid range. I would love to return to try the Kerala Moilee (Fish) Weekend Lunch Thali.

The thalis were convincing enough for me to pick this for lunch one day. The place was relatively empty when we went. The fancy sophisticated looking interior felt like we were eating high end, but wasn't. From the Weekend menu, I got the Lamb Roganjosh Thali ($20.95). Our meals came with naan, appetizer, and dessert. I wish I knew what I was eating, but everything was so savory! I asked for mild spice, and that was perfect for me. The super thin cracker that came on top tasted like a chip. I pretty much mixed in everything together with the rice. The salad was a touch random, but I personally enjoyed it for a break between the spice and strong flavors. When everything had me burping eventually, I still had to finish the fragrant naan, that was oilier than what I had previously. But so good as a result! The appetizer (the chicken one) was my favorite and the dessert, which only had one option for, was not too sweet and had a fun spongey texture to it. Overall, a really delicious and filling lunch for the price!

I love lunch specials esp when I am off on a weekday. We wanted indian food and we were in the area with a cluster of them. The thalis on the menu caught my attention (I didn't even know about them until I saw a Top chef episode). We got there 15min before the specials ended and they still let us order. Restaurant decor is nice. Service was fast. The thalis had a salad, a veggie fritter, lentil dish, 2 veggies- one tasted like a coconut curry and the other was spicy tomato based, raita, indian donut in sweet syrup, rice, freshly-made naan bread (delicious) and choice of main. All good! We chose lamb dry curry which was in a sauce, "mild" was not too spicy; and chicken biryani which was still spicy even when "mild" (good that we had the lassi). We liked that there were so many to pick on. Couldn't finish my biryani and it filled a pint container.
